I work with adults aged 18+ who are:

Neurodivergent-
Affirming Therapy

  • Navigating anxiety, overwhelm or burnout
  • Autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, dyslexic, dyspgraphia or anything else that falls under the neurodivergence umbrella - diagnosed or self-identified or figuring it all out (you do not need any kind of diagnosis to work with me)
  • Working through self-esteem, identity or a sense of not quite fitting in
  • Going through a life transition or change
  • Finding relationships harder to navigate than you'd like
  • Based in Stoke-on-Trent, with sessions available in person, online or by phone.

Who I can support...

The inner critic seems really loud, telling you you're not doing enough...

That voice never seems to switch off, no matter how much you actually get done.

Your mind just won't switch off, even when you're running on empty...

You lie awake replaying conversations, running through worst-case scenarios, ticking through tomorrow's to-do list, even when your body is exhausted.

Some days the world feels too loud, too bright, too much...

Noise, lights, crowds, textures...it doesn't take much for it all to build up into real overwhelm.

You've spent years thinking you need to keep trying harder...

When maybe you need different tools altogether. Your brain works differently, you might feel things more intensely, need more time to process or notice details which others seem to miss and this has been treated as a flaw rather than given the time and space you deserve.

A life change or transition has left things feeling unsteady...

Whatever's shifted, big or small, the ground underneath you doesn't feel quite as solid as it once did.

Relationships feel harder to navigate than you'd like...

Like you're always managing them, translating yourself, adapting or bracing for them to go wrong.

Getting through day to day can feel like running a marathon...

Everyday tasks can take everything out of you and you've been pushing through exhaustion and burnout for as long as you can remember

You've gotten so good at reading the room, that somewhere along the way you stopped checking in with what you need...

Adjusting yourself to fit in becomes second nature, until you're not quite sure what you actually need or want anymore

You're exhausted from trying to fit into boxes that were never built for you...

You may appear calm and collected on the outside, while everything internally feels loud, messy and chaotic. People might describe you as 'so together', whilst you're quietly holding it all in place, wondering how much longer you can keep it up for.

You might be here because...

Whatever's brought you here today, it's OK if you don't have the words for it yet.

Some examples of how I work...

  • I adjust the pace, structure and environment around you

  • I'm flexible in my approach

  • I notice patterns with curiousity not certainty

  • I'll gently ask about that thing you skimmed past

  • I sit in the messiness of it all with you

  • I'll get the whiteboard out to map out our thoughts if it's helpful

  • I love a good metaphor or analogy where useful

  • I don't need your story to be tidy to take it seriously

  • I'm honest

  • I often check in to see how you're experiencing things

  • I will repeat things as many times as you need or rephrase

  • I don't assume talking is always the easiest

  • I'll share books recommendations and social media accounts

  • I never expect eye contact or stillness

  • I offer different perspectives

  • I celebrate your wins

  • I offer creative ways to explore things, not just conversation

I always describe therapy with me as a collaborative process, not a one-size-fits-all kind of approach. We'll work out together what actually works for you, rather than me deciding for you. If talking isn't always the easiest way for you to communicate, I have creative methods we can draw on too, depending on what works best for you in the moment.

I've also thought carefully about the space itself, considering a lot of the sensory aspects of the room like lighting, seating, smells and temperature because the environment matters just as much as what we talk about. I really encourage you to get as comfortable as you can, however that may look - take your shoes off, use a fidget tool, sit on the fluffy rug or grab a blanket if you like. There's also no pressure to make eye contact or fill every silence here.

We will go at a pace that feels right for you, whether that's diving straight in or easing into things more gently.

  • Click the button below to get in touch with me and book a free 15 minute intro call

  • No pressure or commitment, just a brief chat about what's bringing you to therapy

  • A space to ask anything you're wondering about and to get a feel for whether we'd work well together

  • If it feels right, we can book in your first full session

  • There's no set number of sessions or fixed programme, we go at whatever pace works for you

  • We'll check in regularly along the way

  • Get in touch by phone, text or email - whatever feels easiest for you right now
