Hi, I'm Roxanne πI'm a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist and registered member of the BACP.Based in Stoke-on-Trent, UK, sessions can take place either online or by telephone.*
*I do have access to a space for in person therapy, within the ST6 area but with limited availability. My priority is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen and heard, not reduced to a label or a set of struggles. I aim to make our sessions safe, compassionate and validating, a space where being yourself is more than enough. For me, this work is collaborative. Together, we'll explore what feels most helpful for you, make sense of your experiences and find ways to move forward that feel authentic. Sessions will always move at your pace, free from pressure or expectation. I know that beginning therapy can feel daunting or uncomfortable, so I bring an open, warm and flexible approach. My hope is that our sessions become a place where you can exhale - a calm, supportive environment to freely explore, reflect and feel lighter along the way. Whether you're managing anxiety, navigating relationships, exploring neurodivergence or simply seeking a space to feel truly heard and understood, I'm here to support you through this process.
π± Integrative & PersonalisedI draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to suit your individual needs and preferences, including person-centred, CBT techniques, and attachment-based work. There is also the option to bring in some creative elements, if that feels right for you. More than anything, I believe therapy is a collaborative process, which we shape together, in a way that feels supportive for you.π Neuro-AffirmingMy practice is rooted in a neuro-affirming perspective. As I continue to explore and better understand my own neurodivergent experiences, I have a personal appreciation of both the challenges and strengths that can come with them. I see traits linked to ADHD, Autism, Dyspraxia and other forms of neurodivergence not as things to 'fix', but as natural and valuable variations of being human - deserving of respect, understanding and personalised support.π Gentle Anxiety SupportAnxiety can feel overwhelming at times, like itβs running the show. In our work together, I aim to bring a gentle and flexible approach, offering tools and creative explorations that may ease the weight a little, whilst supporting you to find steadier ground and moments of calm in your day-to-day life.π₯ Relationship ExplorationRelationships, whether that's with partners, family, friends or even yourself, can be both rewarding and tricky. Together, we can explore patterns, reflect on past experiences and find ways to relate and communicate that feel right for you, in a safe and welcoming space.
Anxiety & Stress: overwhelm, anxiety cycles, uncertainty, emotional regulation.Neurodivergence (diagnosed or self-identified): self-discovery, late diagnosis, masking, identity.Self-Esteem & Inner Critic: self-worth, confidence, self-acceptance, core beliefs.Relationships & Attachment: relational challenges, patterns, connection, past and present patterns and dynamics.Life Transitions: big changes, grief, endings, new beginnings.
